Wedding Planner or Coordinator??

Wedding Planner or Coordinator??

We love it when Bride’s come visit with their wedding planner’s or coordinator’s. If every bride and especially parent knew how the planner or coordinator could take a load of stress off of them, they wouldn’t hesitate to get one. The roles of each one is different and of course, the role depends on how much you want to invest. One service we offer in one of our packages is coordinating. That is a meeting prior to the event, rehearsal attendance and day of the event. Our coordinators correspond with the bride 2-3 times prior to the initial set up meeting also. A wedding planner has different levels of service based on what you feel you need. If you want someone to handle your contracts, negotiate your prices, layout your ceremony, coordinate décor and colors – then you definitely want a planner for all or any of these. We have some great planners that we work with regularly and would be happy to suggest to you. One thing I can definitely tell you after doing this for several years, friends and family don’t make good coordinators. Things are done and said which cause hard feelings and sometimes they don’t put forth any effort, they are there to have a good time too. They might tell you they will do it, but they don’t and then bride’s, parents, siblings are all upset. So my advice to you is to have a paid individual assist with your wedding. If you are paying them, they have something invested too and want it to turn out well. At The Kincaid House we would love to suggest someone for you!
